Steps to Ordering Commissions

In order for me to draw something for you, I’m going to need your help first…
  1. CHOOSE A PHOTO: The most important part of a drawing is the reference photo. I will need a clear photo (the larger the better) so that fine details can be seen easily. Natural light or light to one side is much better than full frontal flash, which tends to flatten out the image.
  2. EMAIL YOUR FAVOURITES: Look over your photos and email me your favourites, send a few if you are unsure and I’ll let you know which one will be best for a drawing.  I have the ability to combine several photos into one composition. Simply let me know which ones you prefer to be drawn and I will use the others for detail references.
  3. EXPECT A RETURN EMAIL: I will return your email to confirm the size and which photos you want in the illustration. Once the illustration is almost complete, I will email you a scan of it for your approval. Once the changes, if any, have been made, a final email will be sent for final approval and to set up delivery.
  4. FRAMES EXTRA: If you wish for me to frame your illustration, I can do that. The cost of the frame is what you would be charged. Usually frames run between $30 to $50 depending on size and type of frame. If a frame is needed, please mention this at time of ordering.
  5. FREE DELIVERY IN WINNIPEG: If you are located within city limits, I offer free delivery. If you are outside of Winnipeg, standard Canada Post charges will be applied. All outstanding balances must be paid in full before artwork is exchanged.
  6. PRINTS: If you wish to keep the original or give the original away, I can provide a 8x10 print matted to fit for a 11x14 frame for $10 extra each. This lets you share your illustration with family and friends.
